CALL FOR PAPERS for: 16th International Symposium on "Remote Sensing and Spatial Information"

- Remote Sensing Definition:

Remote sensing is an advanced technique to collect data about an object or phenomena without being in physical contact with that object or that phenomena, using electronic or photographic equipments loaded by lift or balloon or by low, medium and high altitude aircrafts, or inhabited and unmanned spacecrafts.
Remotely sensed data are transmitted to the ground receiving stations, where these data are processed using special hardware and software. Space images are produced either as hard prints or stored in a magnetic media (CD's and Tapes). The digital space data can be analyzed in order extract the needed information by visual interpretation and digital processing. The results are introduced as thematic maps, statistical information or demonstrative reports. These products are submitted to the users or decision makers to be used in the comprehensive development and integrated planning processes. :
