GORS)
GORS was
established
since
1986 in
accordance
with the
legislative
decree
no.8 GORS
has replaced
the National
Remote
Sensing
Center
which
was established
through
a steering
committee
in 1980. |

| GORS
excuts
a continuous
training
:program
which
includes
several
different
topics.
Trainees
are either
from GORS
technical
staff
or from
other
Syrian
relevant
ministries
and institutions.
Besides,
there
are participants
from some
Arabic
countries. |

| Each year the Ministry of Agriculture & Agrarian Reform lays out a production plan for exploiting agricultural resources, besides following up its execution for defining arable and non-arable areas, settlements, woods , parries and pastures for knowing both irrigated and rain fed areas, besides to estimating production of all various crops and fruit trees |
